The Search – 3 Tips To Help Find The One
So you’ve identified a unit you want to live in.
Here are 3 quick tips to discover what’s around and whether the property stays on your short list.
Google Maps
Before you even drive by the property use Google Maps to:
Look at the layout of the buildings on the property. What aspect does the unit have? Will there be enough natural light? How’s the view?
Explore the area. What are the properties like either side? Use street view ‘walk’ up the street to start picturing the surroundings. Can you spot anything that’s an immediate deal breaker?
Block Walk
Google Maps, tick. Now it’s time to take the time to walk the street and around the block.
Think of what’s in the area and who’s living there.
Are there parks, cafes or other amenities nearby that are important to you?
How’s the traffic? Are there peak times due to schools, transport routes that you need to check out? Consider visiting at different times of the day.
